NORTHWEST CHRISTIAN CHURCH

CHRISTMAS AT NCC

At Christmas, we take the time to celebrate Jesus Christ’s birth on earth over 2000 years ago. He is the reason for the season. We have many opportunities to gather as a church and share joy and hope with our families and the community. We hope you can join us for an event or worship service! More information is available below.

THE ADVENT ADVENTURE

CAMPUS SPECIFIC OPPORTUNITIES

QUEST KIDS: ADVENT BAGS

Available now! Each bag will have an Advent calendar with ideas on how to spend a little time each day celebrating the true meaning of Christmas. Grab one for yourself and one for your neighbor from the children’s ministry area before or after service or from the church office during the week at any of our campuses.

BOXES OF HOPE

AN ADVENT ADVENTURE OPPORTUNITY

We have the opportunity at Christmas time to provide hope to members of our community. Boxes of Hope provide food for local families during Christmas Break while the children are not receiving breakfast and lunch at school. Families are encouraged to take a Box of Hope and, using the attached shopping list, fill it with food. Boxes are due back to the church by December 12 so they can be delivered to the schools before Christmas Break begins.

INSTRUCTIONS:

Please take a box and fill it with the items on the list. This is a great way to teach your children about being generous to others.

It is important that only the items on the list are purchased for the box. We want each box to be the same so each family receives the same amount of food. lf one box is overflowing and a neighbor’s is “not-so-overflowing,” this is a difficult situation to explain.

PACKING LIST:

DUE BACK - DECEMBER 12TH | IN CAMPUS LOBBY
  • 5 cans of vegetables (14-15oz) (corn, beans, peas)
  • 1 plastic bottle of jelly (20-30oz)
  • 1 plastic jar of peanut butter (28oz)
  • 2 cans of Chicken Noodle Soup (26oz)
  • 1 bag of dry pinto beans (4 lb)
  • 1 bag of white rice (5 lb)
  • 2 boxes of Mac & Cheese
  • 2 cans of chicken or tuna
  • 5 cans of fruit
  • 1 can of spaghetti sauce
  • 1 large bag of spaghetti
  • 1 large box of instant potatoes
  • 2 packets of brown gravy mix
  • 2 boxes or one large bag of cereal

No glass bottles or expired items. Please do not seal the box. Return your box no later than Sunday, December 12th.
