Taking Your Next Step

If you are new to Northwest Christian Church and want to know more about us, we have our "Starting Point" class to help introduce you to us and our mission. If you are familiar with NCC and want to take your next step on your faith journey, we have designed the "NCC•NEXT" class specifically for you. Please feel free to join us! Class times and signups are available below.

What is "Starting Point"?

A Class to Introduce You to Northwest Christian Church

Starting Point has been designed as an introduction to Northwest Christian Church. This is the perfect place to begin if you are new to NCC and want to know more about us, what we believe, and who we are today. In this class we will dive into our history as a church, who our leaders are, how we grew from one campus in Newberg to 3 physical campuses and one online campus, as well as our goals and vision for the future. If you would like to know where we came from and how we got here, this is the perfect place to start.

What Does the Starting Point Class Cover?

Our Lead Pastor, David Case will share his heart for NCC and our mission.

This class lasts for approximately 60 minutes after a Sunday Service. Lunch and Childcare are provided.

The “Starting Point” class covers the heart of Northwest Christian Church.

  • Who Are We?
  • What are our core beliefs?
  • Where we came from?
  • How we got here?

What is "NCC • NEXT"?

A Class for Taking the Next Step in Your Faith Journey

This class is great for those who have already taken our “Starting Point” class and are familiar with the heart and mission of NCC. If you are asking, "What is next for me?” than this is the class for you.

What Does the NCC • NEXT Class Cover?

In this workshop style class, one of our Campus Pastors will walk you through the three core strategies we emphasize at NCC – Connect, Grow, and Serve.

This class will last for approximately 90 minutes after a Sunday Service. Lunch and Childcare are provided.

The “NCC • NEXT” class explores how to get connected, grow in your personal faith, and embrace serving God in ministry.

In the “CONNECT” section of this class, we will cover “How to get connected with our church through our digital tools (the MYNW app)”  and “How to plug into life groups (a small group of believers meeting in homes weekly).”  The goal is to connect with you and get you plugged into our communication network and plugged into a smaller, more personal community of fellow believers in your area.

In the “GROW” section of this course, we will dive into what every believer can do to grow in their walk with God. We will unpack the big milestones of a Christian’s faith journey and share how NCC will partner with you to assist along the way. We will discuss the “My Journey” dashboard (available on the MYNW phone app) and how each badge represents a spiritual discipline defined by Scripture. Each step along the journey is meant to help draw you closer to the Lord through obedience to His word.

In the “SERVE” section of this course, we will focus on who God has created you to be. Using our “S.H.A.P.E” tool, we will help you discover your Spiritual gifts, your Heart for service, your unique Abilities and Personality, and your life Experiences, so you can better understand how God built you for ministry. We believe He wants to use you both inside and outside the walls of the church.
