Who We Are

NCC is made made up of people of all ages and backgrounds discovering what it means to follow Jesus. We believe we are called to love our neighbors by serving the community and our church family. We want to help meet needs, have conversations, and discover where people are on their faith journey.

We invite you to “come as you are” and explore what it means to follow Jesus as imperfect people. Northwest Christian Church is a place where it’s okay to be real, even when it’s messy. We welcome everyone and cultivate community by being honest, showing up, and creating spaces for all people to get to know others and Jesus.

Our Mission

Our Mission is very simple. We exist to…

Love God… this is the first and greatest commandment.

Love Others… this is the next greatest commandment.

Make Disciples… Jesus called us to make disciples.

Our Strategy

Our Strategy is how we fulfill our Mission:

Connect… We want everyone to connect with God and to connect with others.

Grow… We desire that everyone grows in their faith in God and in their relationships with others.

Serve… We want everyone to serve God and serve others.

Our Beliefs

God

God is three in one, existing as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, co-equal and co-eternal. He is the Creator and Sustainer of the universe and everything within.

Jesus

Jesus Christ is the Son of God. He is one with God the Father and the Holy Spirit. Jesus Christ is our Savior, who was born of a virgin, lived a sinless life, died on a cross for all sin, and was raised from the grave after three days to demonstrate His defeat of sin and death. He ascended into Heaven and will return again to earth to reign as our powerful King.

Holy Spirit

The Holy Spirit is one with God the Father and Jesus Christ. Those who accept Christ as their Savior will receive the Holy Spirit to live inside them. He serves as our comforter, guide, advocate, and provides guidance in living and intercedes for them.

The Bible

Our foundation is based firmly upon the Bible as our final authority on our beliefs and as a guide to living. The Bible is divinely inspired by God, without error, and given to man so that we may know and understand the truth of God and His love.

Salvation

Salvation is not something that can be purchased or earned – it is a free gift from God provided by Jesus’ sacrifice on the cross and is received through faith, repentance of sin, and baptism by immersion. It is available to everyone who accepts Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior.

Social Issues

We are frequently asked to bring clarity to our position on a variety of social issues. We are aware there are many sins God desires to protect us from – racism, prejudice, sexual promiscuity, adultery, etc. We do address the complex social issues that surface most often in our setting. If you have questions, we would love to have a conversation with you. Please contact one of our Campus Pastors. We firmly believe that we are all equally in need of God’s grace.
